Sales Engineer in Western Australia

Job Description

To plan and carry out Sales and Marketing activities in order to develop, grow, build and maintain sales to clients and potential clients, in accordance with agreed business plans. This role will require an autonomous worker with an engineering background and considerable experience in sales.

Role and Responsibilities

  • To learn and understand the company product range and understand the engineering capacity of industrial fans & blowers and apply these to the needs of our clients.
  • Initiate ways to identify and develop potential customers and prospective projects.
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contacts toward achieving agreed business aims, including costs, prospect data base and sales with specific emphasis on managing personal time and productivity.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate communication, employing ethical sales methods and standards. Liaise with internal staff to optimise the quality of service and development of business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing initiatives to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, e.g., advertising, exhibitions and the like.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant monthly reports and information.
  • Attend training to further develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  • Liaise with management to initiate a performance based strategy of sales.
  • Other duties as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in an autonomous sales role.
  • Experience within an industrial engineering or manufacturing company
  • Understanding of OH&S and a commitment to safe working practices.
  • Willingness to travel around Western Australia
  • Australian driver’s licence
  • Authority to work in Australia

CNC Plasma Cutter Operator

Job Description

An experienced CNC Plasma Cutter Operator required for busy leading industrial fan manufacturing plant in Bayswater.

  • Experience in nesting required
  • Experience with Laser cutting would be an advantage

Boilermaker

Job Description

A boilermaker tradesperson constructs or repairs metal products by joining parts manually (using a variety of welding methods including electric arc, MIG and TIG welding or oxy-acetylene welding) or by machine. They manufacture some or all of the components, working to engineering drawings using a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to – hydraulic press, guillotine, drills, grinders and welders. 

Main Duties

A boilermaker tradesperson may perform the following tasks:

  • fabricate items to supplied drawings using a range of metals (e.g. mild steel, stainless steels, Bisalloy, Duplex and high nickel alloys)
  • fabricate, assemble and repair fan components such as pedestals, casings, and impellers to engineering drawings
  • may be required to work in confined spaces or at heights
  • may be required to produce test welds to enable weld procedures to be qualified to Australian Standard
  • may work in a team or alone.

Job Description – Welder (1st Class)

  • weld a range of metals (e.g. mild steel, stainless steels, Bisalloy, diecast metal and high nickel alloys)
  • assist in assembling, welding and repair fan components such as pedestals, casings, and impellers to applicable Australian Standards
  • may be required to work in confined spaces or at heights
  • will be required to produce test welds to enable weld procedures to be qualified to Australian Standard & may be required to assist with in house testing of welds.
  • may work in a team or alone.

Trade Assistant

Job Description

A Trade Assistant assists tradepersons as directed and reports to the workshop leading hands. Duties include the operation of machinery, tools and supporting equipment, general hand work, general production tasks as well as cleaning and maintenance as required.

Requirements
  • Candidates should be physically fit with good hearing, vision, coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Be flexible and have a cooperative team attitude.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Be able to follow direction and complete assigned tasks unsupervised.
