Job Description – Boilermaker:
A boilermaker tradesperson constructs or repairs metal products by joining parts manually (using a variety of welding methods including electric arc, MIG and TIG welding or oxy-acetylene welding) or by machine. They manufacture some or all of the components, working to engineering drawings using a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to – hydraulic press, guillotine, drills, grinders and welders
Main Duties:
A boilermaker tradesperson may perform the following tasks:
• fabricate items to supplied drawings using a range of metals (e.g. mild steel, stainless steels, Bisalloy, Duplex and high nickel alloys)
• fabricate, assemble and repair fan components such as pedestals, casings, and impellers to engineering drawings
• may be required to work in confined spaces or at heights
• may be required to produce test welds to enable weld procedures to be qualified to Australian Standard
• may work in a team or alone.

Qualification:
Engineering/Welding Certificate and/or Trade Qualification
The position is full time and based in the Boronia area of Melbourne.
