AirEng forced draft fans fluidise and cool gravity conveying units. Dry material bulk density determines the amount and pressure of fluidising air required. AirEng industrial fans are supplied with inlet filters to avoid contamination of the product stream.
The pressures required to fluidise the granular materials are usually more than one PSIG, therefore the fans may require inlet silencers. The most common fan design is usually a direct drive arrangement with the motor being coupled directly to the fan wheel. Volume control can be affected by fan damper control and some designers specify motor frequency control to create energy savings.
